Find Purpose, Presence and Perspective for the Weary Heart

Courage to Speak. Space to Be.

"Lay down the version of yourself you created for everyone else."

You might recognise yourself here:

The Exhaustion of “Fine”

You’re navigating the physical shifts of midlife, menopause, or health scares - while still holding everything together for everyone else. On the outside, you’re coping. Inside, you’re tired.

The Weight of Roles

You’ve spent years being the partner, the parent, the professional - only to realise you’ve lost the person living beneath those titles. From loneliness to low self-worth, something is asking to be laid down.

Inside the Storm

A changing marriage. A relationship at a crossroad. Patterns that once protected you but now deplete you. You feel unmoored, unsure which way is forward.

This is a safe space to shed the stories and expectations that no longer fit.

To process the quiet grief of what was.

And to finally meet the person you were always meant to be.

About Landie Breytenbach

I’m a therapist with over 20 years of experience exploring the human landscape of suffering and resilience, grounded in General and Developmental Psychology. My work is grounded in empathy, compassion, and confidentiality - and my philosophy lies in finding the courage to speak in a space where change becomes possible.

"Know when to reach out and to whom"

Although friends and family may care for us, they might not always respond as we hope they will. Sometimes, instead of simply listening, they offer advice, or they step back because our struggles feel overwhelming to them. This isn’t due to a lack of love – they may be dealing with their own private difficulties.

Relying solely on those close to us can unintentionally lead to feelings of isolation or to being misunderstood for ourselves and to stress or exhaustion for them. When everyone tries to shoulder each other's burdens, it can leave both parties feeling worn out.
Seeking professional support can truly help, offering you a space to work through your feelings with someone trained to provide unbiased listening and guidance – helping you understand what's difficult to bear and giving you practical strategies for coping, change, and personal growth.

My Approach:

Drawing on Carl Rogers' people-centred approach, I offer a secure, confidential environment that encourages self-exploration and personal growth. I also use a trauma-informed perspective to recognise how past experiences affect our current behaviours and relationships.

Change starts with emotional and psychological safety, helping you process difficulties, build resilience, and reclaim trust in yourself.

As an integrative therapist, I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, NLP, and RLT to tailor therapy to your unique needs. If you’re ready to begin, we’ll start where you are – one honest conversation, one step, and one moment of courage at a time.

“Growth begins when the silence breaks – because we are as healed as the secrets we bring into awareness and as brave as the work we do to face them with understanding and compassion.”
